https://almenr.dk has designed an eco-village focused on social communities. More and more people are seeking smaller communities and co-housing that offer alternative, social and often more sustainable living options.
The area around the homes is designed as a shared landscape. Cars are parked outside the village, so Fridlev is experienced through small paths among grasses, trees, and native plants that support biodiversity.
All the houses in the Fridlev co-housing community are designed as wooden houses, insulated with cellulose insulation made from recycled newspaper behind the wooden cladding. Solar panels are mounted on the roofs of the three common houses so that the co-housing community can be self-sufficient with lighting in the common houses.
